The Oakland’s Women’s March held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 was extremely diverse and full of positive, inspiring vibes… and signs… great signs. And yes, it was totally a woman’s demonstration …. SUPPORTED by representatives of everyone of almost every other group on the planet. (Despite gentrification, Oakland remains one of the most diverse cities in the United States). A wide spectrum of ages, genders, sexual preferences, religious and economic classes all marched, waved, and sung against the “new” Donald Trump Administration. Yes, you could see where there were riffs that need healing and mending… but overall.. great.
Even the Oakland Police Department (OPD) behaved awesome.
Ah, if only they would always conduct themselves with as much maturity, compassion, and restraint … as they did with … the … women… (smile). Enjoy!
